Vintage clothing is good for the environment because the product already exist. No new resources or energy has been used to create them, while the only carbon footprint left by vintage fashion is that of transportation, cleaning, and/or minimal repairs. Vintage is also better quality than fast fashion brands and can last for a life time if treated well.

Pre-loved clothing refers to clothing that has been previously owned, other wise known as second-hand. Buying second-hand clothing helps lower the overall demand for new clothing to be produced and is helping to recycle items that might otherwise end up discarded in landfills.

Originally used by the retailers rather than resellers, 'deadstock' meant stock that was brand-new but unsold. In short it was dead stock that they could not sell. In most cases, deadstock is stored in warehouses for long periods of time untill companies resell them in huge quantities for small prices
